Tuition Fees

First you need to determine your student category in order to find out your correct tuition fee.

A. Programme Countries = EEA*

These are thus students originating from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

*EEA = European Economic Area

The tuition fee for Programme Country students is set to € 7,000 per year.

B. Partner Countries = any other country not mentioned above

Note: Students originating from the following countries are thus also considered to be Partner Country students:

  • Albania

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina

  • Kosovo

  • Montenegro

  • Serbia

  • Switzerland

  • The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

  • Turkey

  • United Kingdom

The tuition fee for Partner Country students is set to € 10,000 per year.

The IMFSE tuition fee covers enrolment at all the universities plus an insurance scheme. Other costs such as accommodation, living and travel costs, and additional insurances are not included and are therefore to be covered by the students themselves.

Scholarships

If you meet the admission requirements, you can apply for a scholarship: you will notice that one of the questions in our application form is about whether you want to apply for a scholarship. Your application will then be considered for all scholarship options mentioned below.

Please do not contact EACEA or the contributing companies directly regarding scholarships, as they are not involved in the selection process.

IMFSE Contributors Full & Partial Scholarships

Thanks to financial support from a number of companies and institutes, the IMFSE Consortium can award several full and/or partial scholarships per intake. These range from tuition fee reductions to full tuition fee waivers to scholarships that are equivalent to ‘Erasmus+ Full Scholarships’ (see below).

It is not possible to apply for this kind of scholarship: the decision is made by the IMFSE management board, depending on the number of high-level applications and the available budget.

EMJM Full Scholarships

A number of students will be able to attend the IMFSE programme through an EMJM (Erasmus Mundus Joint Master) Scholarship thanks to the support of EACEA. An EMJM Scholarship has a value of up to €1,400 per month and the tuition fee is waived.

More information is found on the Erasmus+ EMJM website.

Note: Students who have already benefitted from an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarship are not eligible to apply for an additional scholarship (click here for more information).

Extra Costs

Living costs greatly depend on your personal needs as well as your location. Please check the following web links for an estimation at the 4 Full Partner Universities:

Ghent | Lund | Edinburgh | UPC (coming soon)

You can also check this tool to compare the cost of living between 2 countries:

Of course also keep travel and possible visa costs (non-EEA students) in mind.

IMFSE Contributors

IMFSE is very pleased to offer full and partial scholarships enabled by the financial contribution of the following companies and associations. So far, more than 35 IMFSE students have already benefited from this mechanism.
